About the Creator
My name is Ty Thompson, and I’m a creator fueled by imagination, curiosity, and storytelling. I work as a short film producer, artist, puppet designer, scriptwriter, and aspiring voice actor, currently training and developing my craft. I create movies, 2D animation shorts, and original characters that bring my ideas to life in new and unexpected ways.
My first passion has always been drawing intricate hybrid animals and characters. I’ve always been fascinated by animals and the endless possibilities of combining them into creatures no one has ever seen before. That passion gave birth to KookyArk, a world where imagination runs wild and every character has its own unique story.
Each KookyArk creation is more than just artwork—it’s part of a larger narrative. Storytelling is at the heart of everything I do. My second passion, puppetry, allows these characters to move, speak, and truly come alive. I’m currently working on transforming many of these designs into puppets to create stories, films, and experiences for audiences of all ages. This journey is still unfolding, so stay tuned.
Beyond creating, I’m an adventurer at heart—humorous, kind, compassionate, and deeply empathetic. I love animals, enjoy making people laugh, and believe that creativity should inspire joy, connection, and imagination. A good joke and a great story can go a long way.
